Born into a family of chefs, Bruno Tote's career has taken him through Brazil, Canada and France, working in Michelin-starred kitchens including Lasai in Rio de Janeiro and Zé Kitchen Galerie in Paris. He settled in Portugal eight years ago, cooking at Porto's Michelin-guide listed Apego. He also founded ToTecatering & Co, his own pop-up and catering venture, through which he has led private dinners, workshops and gastronomic collaborations.

At The Secret, he channels these influences into a creative, author-led cuisine that is distinctly his own: Brazilian in memory, French in technique, and shaped by his years working with the best Portuguese produce. Ingredients are chosen for their quality and seasonality, with technique used to reveal their character. each dish carrying his personal signature - with a touch of mischief - while staying true to the produce at its heart.

The Secret is made for epicureans who know that the best evenings should not be rushed. From 4pm, Bar Bites, signature cocktails, fine wines and champagne set the scene for an effortlessly lively aperitivo. From 7pm, refined, generous dishes take centre stage, made to be savoured slowly, one flavour at a time.
